Please read these terms carefully. They set out the basis on which we supply and install our bespoke plantation shutters and how you may use this website.
This website is operated by Plantation Shutters NI (“we”, “us”, “our”), a home-based supplier of bespoke, made-to-measure plantation shutters serving Portadown and the surrounding area of County Armagh, Northern Ireland (postcode district BT63). As a home-based business we do not operate a public premises — the best way to reach us is by phone or email.

These terms and conditions apply to the use of this website and to any quotation, order, supply and installation of shutters by us. By using this website or placing an order with us, you agree to these terms.
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this website at the time you place your order will apply to that order.
Any prices shown on the website or given verbally are indicative only. All quotations are subject to a free home survey, at which we take precise measurements and confirm the final specification.
A written quotation is valid for 30 days from its date unless we state otherwise. Prices are confirmed once your order is accepted following the home survey.
Our shutters are manufactured bespoke to the measurements and specification agreed for your windows. Because each order is made to your individual requirements, it cannot be resold to another customer.
You are responsible for ensuring that the specification, colours, styles and measurements confirmed at the point of order are correct. We will always carry out the final measurement ourselves at the survey to avoid errors.
A minimum deposit of 50% of the total order value is payable on ordering, at which point your bespoke shutters are placed into manufacture.
The balance is payable in full on or before installation. We will confirm the accepted payment methods when you place your order. Title to the goods remains with us until payment has been received in full.
We will give you an estimated timescale for manufacture and installation. Timescales are estimates only and are not guaranteed, as they can be affected by suppliers and circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Please ensure the installation area is accessible and reasonably clear on the agreed date. If we are unable to complete installation due to lack of access or a change on your part, additional charges may apply for a return visit.
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, goods that are made to your bespoke measurements and specification are exempt from the standard 14-day cooling-off period once manufacture has begun.
Before your order is placed into manufacture you may cancel and receive a refund of your deposit, less any reasonable costs already incurred. This does not affect your legal rights if goods are faulty or not as described.
We take great pride in our craftsmanship. Our shutters are covered by our workmanship guarantee against manufacturing defects under normal domestic use. Full details of the guarantee period and cover are provided with your order.
The guarantee does not cover damage caused by misuse, accident, neglect, or normal wear and tear. This guarantee is in addition to, and does not affect, your statutory rights as a consumer.
The online visualiser produces an illustrative, computer-generated impression only. Colours, finishes and proportions shown are for guidance and may differ from the finished product. Visualiser images do not form part of any contract.
We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or for fraud. Subject to that, our total liability arising from an order is limited to the price paid for that order.
We are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable, or for losses arising from circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, images and the “Shutters NI” name, is our property or that of our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce it without our permission.
These terms are governed by the law of Northern Ireland, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Northern Ireland.
